Hello, I am finally going to get the engine rebuilt in the dak. Since I
will have the transmission out I checked on the price for getting it
rebuilt. It's got 186000 miles on it and figure that I might as well get it
done now, or it might give up on me later and have to be removed again. I
called a local shop here and they quoted 950 to 1150 to rebuild it.
However, they insist that it be in the truck. I can not bring it to them
then pick it up. Seems rather stupid to me. I guess they just want to
charge me to remove and the reinstall it. Anyone know any good shops around
the Waco Texas area that can rebuild transmissions?
