most dealers parts dept will take the stock stereo on trade-in for a upgrade
stereo, my '01 Dakota came w/
the cassette deck unit stock and they traded me up to
the cd player for less than $350.00. The factory offering
is better than most aftermarket units in my experience.
and it's a sure fit in the dash.
