backspacing/offset?

Does anyone know if the offset/backspacing is the same on the 15x8
(+25mm/5.5") alloy wheels from the 2000 and earlier trucks as the
offset/backspacing on the 16x8 alloy wheels from the 2001-2 trucks? In the
course of shoping for wheels I found some info. that leads me to believe that
maybe the factory changed offset/backspacing to 0mm/4.5".
