I'm pretty sure this is a hoax or a variation on several hoaxes. The tipoffs:

* So many high-profile companies are mentioned "independently" - this gives the
message credibility to some people, but rarely, if ever, do actual virus warnings
have this style
* No reputable security-related site/organization/entity would say "forward this
to everyone you know!"
* The lack of specific details, especially what OS it affects. While many
viruses can affect all MS operating systems, they often will affect them in
different ways.
