Billy, to each their own. I have 3 Gen IIIs. 2 with CalTracs. They have
helped out with traction coming off the line in both cases. The roadmaster
is a setup to help with loads, and will also act as a traction device.
Again, I say to each their own.
When you say softest setting, I'm guessing you have the 2 hole version. I
use mine on the street as well as the track. I preload them about 1/2 turn
when sitting LEVEL. With this setup, I have gotten 60s of 1.88 with my 98
RC 5.2 5spd with headers, and slicks, and 1.92s on my 99 RC R/T.
