Possably poor fuel delivery due to clogged fuel filter, weak fuel pump,
dirty injectors, etc.

Subject: DML: Air filter causing my truck to ping

It seems that after putting on my k&n homebrew, my truck ran good then great
(I am guessing as the comptuer learned) then horrible... which it has been
consistantly running. Its sort of pissing me off, since I cant seem to find
a way to make more hp out of my poor little 3.9l, without causing it to run
lean or rich or whatever. What on earth could be causing it to run like so?

also, when I very first start it on a cold cold cold morning, it runs
AWESOEM... for about 5 minutes, then runs like crap until its been at >180
degrees for a while. Is there really supposed to be this much variation in
how this damn truck runs?

I've recently done the timing chain tsb, the air filter, new autolite plugs,
and autolite plugwires (as I broke the old ones)

I am kinda at a loss, and unfortunately dodge dealers havent *EVER* done me
much good

wes
