Warm....Lemme tell ya...about COLD! I'm sittin here...pleased as H*LL with
myself, cuz I took apart the Hella compressor & cleaned & reassembled it, &
it worked sweetly, when I look out the window & see a blue plastic 55 gallon
drum floating about 50 feet off the end of my dock. Ya can never have too
many of these things (livin on a lake) & it's a finders/keepers kinda
unwritten law around here, so I decide to launch to canoe for the 1st time
this season & rescue me a barrel...
So, anyways, I get in the canoe & paddle out & start bumping it with the
nose of the canoe towards my dock..jeez this is takin too long...I'll just
attempt to bring it aboard & get this task over with...(Yeah -
right!)...well...the drum seems a tad on the heavy side...(hmmm?)..must have
some water in it...no prob...just make one quick pull with both hands &
she's in...(yeah - right!)...well 1/2 pull & the water inside shifts quickly
towards the other side of the barrel (& canoe)...&...
OVER THE SIDE IT COMES & OVER THE SIDE WE GO!
Holy SH*T! LMTY, the water is purty cold in NY in March! YEEHAHFU*KINHOO!!
I hadda flip the canoe back over...find the paddles...get my shoes off &
into the canoe...& drag the canoe about 40 feet back to my dock....WOW! all
the time I'm screamin for Susan & whistling out as loud as I can & swimmin
like a MF( 'course nobody heard me...)! & good thing I was only 40 feet
out...42 feet & I mighta froze like Leonardo DeCaprio in that boat/iceberg
movie...

Sheesh! Susan brought me my bathrobe & I stripped down on the deck...She
says: "What about your neighbors!?!??!" I told her "THERE'S NOTHIN LEFT TO
SEE!!!" ! Hadda back jump a hot shower for 1/2 hr just to get warm...
DAK content: The DAKSY's owner is all wet, but he & Susan DO have a
reservation for a room to crash in after the Foxwoods Meet, right down the
street from the DAKOTA Restaurant!
