6x9 Heated mirror question ?

I have a 98 dak with the power 6x9 non-heated mirrors. Can I put a 6x9 heated
mirror from a ram on it. I know that to activate the heated mirror function
on a ram, you have to hit a switch. I was wondering if when I put the heated
mirror on and turn the dial to defrost if it will automatically turn on?
