Yes, there is some risk, but a lot of people have done it with no ill
effects. Mostly just extra stress on things like balljoints.

Usually people don't go beyond 1-2 inches. I know of one person who went
to 4 inches - I think that's way, way too far. We'll see what happens.

Can't hurt to get an alignment check.
