  Had another thought about this - auto parts stores sell adapters,
you might be able to pick up a couple of those and just clamp them
onto the cat pipe with standard clamps since those won't really
need to be removed. Or, you could use band clamps, but that's
probably a bit pricey for something you won't be taking apart.
