You don't have to wait 10,000 miles to switch to synthetic. The first oil
change is an OK time to switch. Many high performance GM veichles come with
synthetic from the factory. I switched my 99 R/T to synthetic at 500 miles
and it now has 42,000 on it and has never used a drop of oil between changes
of aprox 5,000 miles each.
I do want to know more about this purple stuff though. Is it an oil or an
additive and where do you get it?
