Installed a 48mm Flowmetrics throttle body today. Install was a piece of
cake. But what happened afterwards deffinitly has me thinking if I've gone
too far.
My freind rob helped me install the TB, and decided to take it for a test
drive. I climbed in. and he took off like a bat outa he** from the Ziebart
parking lot. We got out on the highway, he put the pedal to the floor, and
we zoomed outa town. We passed a number of cars, then we passed this one
black sedan. OOPS! Unmarked State Trooper.
He flashed his lights, and we slowed down and got over. Then 2 more state
trooper cars pulled behind him. I about wet my pants. Cop steps up to the
truck, and begins the "Do you know how fast you were going?" routeen. To
make a long story short, they took him in for wreckless driving, and
speeding (103 in a 45). They woulda impounded the truck, but since I left
my chair back at ziebart, they let me go with a STERN warning.
After I bailed my freind out, I asked him if it was worth it. He replied
with a simple HE** YEAH!! Now that I think about it, Putting on the TB is
not going to far. But someone should shoot me if I put a nitrus kit on.
I've never been prouder of my baby!
