Yep it makes a fantastic obstruction of airflow, oh gosh, but is spins the
air which then goes into a manifold, hits the bottom of the manifold (at
which point its lost any spin that the throttle bores didn't take out), goes
up and over through the top of the manifold (if you dont have an M1) then to
the "high swirl" heads which then put the spin where it needs to be (at the
entrance to the piston chamber). So basically the spin is at the heads
whether you have the "tornado" gimmick or not. Dont get me wrong, the theory
works great on a directly applied design where the spinning air goes right to
the final source without any twist or turns to change the spinning air. Works
especially good on gravity fed systems with something more dense than air
(for a demonstration please flush a toilet).

Notice they didn't have any racers saying they use it in competition.
