There are differerent sized O2 sensors as far as I know. Most of the time.
if you unhook the harness, you can slide a boxed end of a wrench over it.
Tug tug, double up on another wrench, spray in some penetrating lube and
"snap" it breaks free from the corrosion and loosens up.
So. Try a boxed end wrench and see if that works. I did so on my dakota.
No "SPECIAL" slitted socket needed :)
