I just did mine a while back and I documented the amount in my manual. This
amount takes it right to the lwr lip of the fill plug hole. >>
The Factory Service Manual says 4.9 pints which is almost 2.5 quarts. I
guess I had my pints and quarts mixed up.
And I'll correct you since you corrected me. If you use Red Line 75w90, the
sku I specified, you don't need posi additive because it is already mixed
into the oil. So you fill the 4.9 pints entirely with the gear oil.
