No need ... save your money.
The 180 tstat is only a small part of the Dakota Power
Secrets article. All have been mentioned on the DML
at one time or another.
The blurb basically says that the engine controller (pcm)
is designed to make maximum power at 182F of engine
temp. Under WOT operations, higher combustion temps.
are generated. When this happens, the coolant is air-
pocketing on the north side of the combustion chamber.
These engine heat problems can be frequently solved
by dropping to a 180F - 185F tstat. Switching back
to 195F tstat is recommended if you live in a cold
winter climate.
