Gary-
You'll have to install the injectors, wiring harness, V8 distributor, SBEC
(computer) as none of these parts are included with the engine. I would
order a crate motor installation manual from MP and a 2002 MP catalog.
Both of these books will detail specifics on installing
the crate engine in your Dakota, you'll more than likely
have to go with engine assy# P5007732# as these are a direct MPI replacement
assembly. I'd use the computer,
engine wiring harness, and cat-forward exhaust from a
'98 Dakota R/T, your existing air conditioning, serp belt
drive, motor mounts, starter, alt, etc will carry over on to the new engine,
this should be a fairly easy swap.
As far as the transmission is concerned a A518 crate
transmission also in the MP catalog would be the way to go.
