K&N specify there oil filter are 10 micron.

By the way Chris, can you tell me where you found that 10-20 microns is
what the Mobil One will achieve? I have been unable to find that
anywhere as well. K&N specifies this on the site and on the box the
filter comes in and Mobil One does not specify this anywhere that I can
find. Further, remember, the Mobil One failed on me and that was on a
Honda, as I mentioned earlier. Though I like the oil product, I will
not run the filter.

No offense, but 10 - 20 microns is what a mobil 1 filter will achieve
and I
would bet that the single and multi pass efficiencies are better than
the K&N
due to the synthetic filtering media. I understand that the Mr. Knize
was
receiving notice of several failures, but also note that every failure
was on a
Ford. Not that I can explain it, but it sure seems weird that all of
the
failures were from one engine manufacturer.
It seems to me from my research that the Mobil filter is as good if not
better
than the K&N from a filtering standpoint. I don't think that can be
argured.
The filter has a 98% single pass and a 96% multi pass efficiency rating.
That
is pretty impressive considering they have not stuffed the canister with
so much
filter that the flow is impeded.
I hope you find the info on the K&N that you spoke of, as I am always
interested in using the best oil and filter and cannot really find much
information regarding the K&N.
