How bowt dat! My 92 does the very same thing. I've been meaning to get
around to digging into it, but have not had the time.
I suspect a weak diaphragm or a bad control unit (pushbuttons, etc).
80s Monte Carlos, Regals, etc do the same thing, and it's the control unit
on those.
When I get around to fixing it, I'll post the fix on the list.
