I have thought time and time again about putting in a strip... I could
build all of the timing equipment and electronics myself, but the cost of
the asphault is a bit prohibitive. Mostly though, I'm not sure where I
would put it. Even if I did pave over the airstrip (which I definitely
don't want to do) its not really long enough. Its about 1600' or so
which is enough for the strip itself, but doesn't leave a long enough
shutdown area. Who knows, maybe I'll figure out how to do it some day.
I figured a "mud drag" strip would be a good compromise. ;-)
