Be advised, that's what State Farm says. They are NOT in the business of
paying claims. They are in the business of NOT paying claims. What if BOTH
of you had State Farm-would they not pay at all?
State Farm has a poor track record when it comes to claims. Notice they said
"existing condition of the vehicle". This means if the paint on your vehicle
sucks, they don't want to pay for paint on the damaged area, even though it
has to be painted to be fixed properly.
Notice how they also say they will deduct for any exixting damage-how can
they tell how much damage was already there if it's damaged MORE? Plus, if
it's damaged MORE than it was previously, that damage has no bearing on what
it costs to fix it now.
It should be handled by the homeowner's policy-it was through no fault of
the truck owner that it got damaged. He should not have to pay any
deductibles, etc.
Want to know more about how lousy your insurance companies really are when
it comes to paying claims?

It will scare the bejeezus out of you.
Good luck-you may need it.
