I just came in from the garage finishing my install. Like you I
followed the insructions and it didn't work. I ended up pulling the
cover for the kick panel and found a harness that has the wires I needed
access to. I think it is the middle harness and you need the blue wire
and the orange wire. I've already got everthing back together so I
can't run out and look at the colors for you. When I tapped these mine
worked. Use a multimeter or test light to verify that you get voltage
when you hit the lock/unlock
button. BTW I've got an '01 QC also.
