Need to have a serous talk with Jiffy! They're famous for forgetting bolts,
putting the oil back in etc.

Subject: DML: Advice needed with Transmission leak

Ever since I replaced the Speed Sensor on the transmission housing (Thanks
to the group!), I have been leaking trans fluid from somewhere. I don't
think it's from the sensor, as the plug and cable is always clean (it's
pointing down, so fluid would run along it).

I have noticed that just towards the back from this, there is the
crossmember that the trans is mounted on. Fluid is pooling on this. Around
some of the bolts, there is a little fluid. (maybe answered my own
question).

Going from the trans mount to the front of the engine, there is a silverish
hub. I think this is the torque converter housing. It is between the trans
fluid pan and the oil fluid pan.

There are two bolts, one on each side that appear to be misisng. They are
on the far ends towards the doors of the truck. Are these mounts for a
trans cooler or skid plate? Or did Jiffy Lube forget to put something back
in?

BTW, I have been loosing about 1/2 quart a week.

Chris
