The manual is not right for the 2001 & I assume it's wrong in the 2000
too. On page 15 of the owners manual it says::: Under the title "TO LOCK THE
DOORS"
1. Place key in the ignition turn key to on (do not start engine)
2. Press and hold "unlock" button on transmitter for 5 seconds.
3. While unlock button is pressed , press the "Panic" (not the lock) button,
then release both buttons.
4. You will hear a single chime when programming is completed.
