all this talk of lowering makes me want to take mine even lower...I went
with the Chassis Tech 3/4 lowering kit (I'm poor people!). I'm really happy
with the kit (although I've heard lots of bad things about it since I've put
it on) and it's a lot easier on the wallet! I haven't had any problems with
it what so ever, so maybe these people were the small percentage that had a
bad experience with the company? I want to get lower control arms and a
block and C-Notch kit for my truck to take it down 4/6...but these things
cost money...Me and a buddy lowered the rear of my truck in a weekend. We
could have had it done in a day, but we were at the base hobby shop and they
have some crappy hours...but anyway. To answer your question Dan...if you
are only going 2 inches then you shouldn't need new shocks cause your
suspension travel won't be that much different...anything over 2 and you
should definitely...

well, like I said, I've talked to others (I have not lowered mine) and they
suggested the C-section with the 3-5. I'd love to ride in a dak that had a
3-5 drop to see how it rides myself...personally my truck is way to loose
but I also don't want to drive a brick...

Tim,
You need a c-section for a 6" drop, I wanted to keep the resale value of my
truck :). I have a 5" in the back and I still have the factory! bumpstops in
my frame. I really only bottom out on the bumpstops when I hit a really deep
pothole, but I usually avoid those just so I don't bend my wheels. If I were
to remove and cut down my stock bumpstops I would ride like a caddy all the
time. BTW- I used the Belltech shocks, a little bit more, but every shop I
talk to says thats why it rides so good.
