Well I pulled my cap and rotor out, to find that there is a little peice of
copper or something on the end of the rotor that was barely attached... and
would swing around etc... so how the truck was even running is beyond me. I
bought a new cap and rotor, and the thign runs MUCH better. I took to
another mechanic, and we've determined that there is a lifter out on the
driver side of the engine.
The emissions purge control valve wasnt the problem.
