Subject: DML: Re: R/Ts minus the decals?

I know a lot of people like goo gone and other citrus cleaners, but it took
a lot of elbow grease to get the adhesive off when I took the Dodge off my
tailgate. Then I used WD-40 for the adhesive when I took off the Dakota 5.9
R/T badging on the doors, worked a lot easier. It was also warmer that day,
I think that helped. I just let the truck sit in the sun for a while to
heat up the decals, they peeled right off. I left the 5.9 R/T on the
tailgate and I'm still debating whether or not I want chrome badges. I
don't have any pictures online yet, but I like the nice clean look. I think
if I do chrome badges, it'll just be the 5.9 R/T on the tailgate. My
original plan was to use the "DODGE" and "5.9 R/T" from a Durango, because
the letters are the same size. Then to use the chrome "Dakota" from an SLT
and the Durango "5.9 R/T" again on the doors, again, same size letters.
I've seen a couple trucks that had the tailgate like that, it looks pretty
sharp. One note on the "DODGE" off of the new Rams, it looks good, but it's
bigger than the badges off of the Durangos or Dakotas, just so ya know.
