It's not the ignition causing the code to pop flagging the coil..........my
Dak does the same thing with the 300+ ignition and coil from Accell........I
had a friend
that works at a dealership have a look and he came up with a very plausible
reason........the Accell coil has a higher operating output and requires
more voltage to fire it..........it's out of the programed range of the
stock PCM so it flags it......thinking the coils going
bad...........eventually the computer turns out the check engine light and
retains the code in the history..........they did something at the service
dept
that cured the code, because now if I try to scan it at work with a OBD-2
scanner it's not registered, but the coil is still on and working great!

system in the first place... (and the JBA wires)... to see if that would
help.... nope!
