What I heard was that adding ATF to engine oil essentially replaces some of those components that normally break down first. Detergents and such (forgive me, I am not a chemist) I tried this in an old jeep, and it did work..it broke free enough crud to clog my oil pump and fill up my oil filter with sludge... Personally, I just stick to Mobil 1 every 5k with mobil 1 filters...

I know it's an ol' secret to add some ATF just prior to changing the oil
to help celan out the engine. Let me ask the following:
1) Does this really work?
2) How much ATF do you add?
3) How long do you run the engine for and at what speed?
