Hi Paul,
I also forgot to say that the filters I mentioned are expensive. That's
because they're steps above the rest. They're about $10 apiece. With your
discount on Mopar ones I imagine that's about triple the cost for you. The
Mopar filters are made by Purolator.

Subject: Re: DML: RE: Mobil One Syn 5-30
Hi Ron
I've never seen anything in the literature that requires or even
strongly advises on any "special" brand of filter when using any brand of
synthetic oil. No doubt the fine print on the back of a Mobil One can would
advise that a Mobil brand filter be used (if there is such a
thing---------Mobil service stations disappeared from my part of the USA
about 15yrs ago). I don't know which big name company makes filters for
Chrysler/MoPar but I've always used MoPar filters, Mobil One 10-30 and
change
@ 3k intervals. I noticed a one mile per gal increase in fuel economy on
tank fulls done in continuous freeway driving, no change in traffic
driving.
The parts guy at my dealer gives me -30% off list if I buy 3 or more MoPar
filters at a time.
