Mobil One and K&N are NOT the same filters. Big difference inside. I
bought one of each and tore them open. The Mobil One filter is made by
Champion, nothing super duper about it. K&N produces their own filter
and there is much more filter material inside it than the Mobil One.
The K&N case is not only much thicker, but has the 1 inch nut on the
bottom for easier removal. Definitely not the same filter.

However, I do not recommend in using Mobile 1 Syntec in low tolerance
manual
trannies.

work..it broke free enough crud to clog my oil pump and fill up my oil
filter with sludge... Personally, I just stick to Mobil 1 every 5k with
mobil 1 filters...

I know it's an ol' secret to add some ATF just prior to changing the oil
to help celan out the engine. Let me ask the following:
1) Does this really work?
2) How much ATF do you add?
3) How long do you run the engine for and at what speed?
