Some dealership, which I had experience (Security Chevrolet, Vista CA),
with
oil changes will automatically check and fill the differential, tranny,
and
other fluids but only charge a 21.95 fee.

"Democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government.
It can only exist until voters discover they can vote themselves
largess (generous gifts) from the public treasury. From that moment
on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most
benefits from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy
always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a
dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations
has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this
sequence: from spiritual faith to great courage; from courage to
liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to complacency;
from complacency to apathy; from apathy to dependence; from
dependence back again to bondage.

Beware of Dealers on this, When I had my 60k checkup (99CC5.2L) it took
them
3 tries and two weeks to get the *correct* fluid in my LSD. Make sure
you
speak to the mechanic and insure what he puts in is actually what's
needed.... I only had mine changed because they threatenend my extended
warranty if I didn't have ALL of the recommended service done...

My dealer keeps harping on me to change the rear diff fluid. My owner's
manual says it is not necessary to change the diff fluid (front or rear)
under normal driving conditions. What would members of this list
recommend?
Also, how about the transfer case fluid (I have the full-time transfer
case)?
Thanks.
