Actually the avg temperature will lower according to the t-stat if
everything is working correctly, however, if the new t-stat is a 185 and
your old OEM one was 195 it may be hard to tell the difference on our Dak
gauges. That is, assuming your dealer put in a 185...which dealers don't
normally do.

A cooler stat will *not* make the engine run cooler all the time. All
it does is open earlier to start cooling the fluid sooner.
