Morning Mike,
I have a 98 Sport with the V6 and a 5 spd and I tow a 1800 lb boat
with no problem. The truck knows its back there but it doesn't complain
about it. Before I bought my truck I asked the dealer about towing and he
told me the 4cyl is rated to tow 1800lbs, but I wouldn't want to try it.
