The McCord MPP2 is an electronic cutout plate that is used in conjunction
with a Y-shaped cutout that is spliced into your exhaust system. When the
PowerPlate is closed, your exhaust flows like normal. When the PowerPlate is
open, the exhaust gases flow out of the cutout, circumventing the
restrictive catalytic converter/muffler/pipes, increasing horsepower. Many
racers use open headers or manual cutouts, but open headers aren't legal on
the street, and manual cutouts require you to crawl under your vehicle and
open/close it when you want to use them (Driving on the street with the
cutout open is not legal, but many people with this gadget can't resist the
urge when they hear ricers buzzing about). With the McCord electric cutout,
it opens/closes from inside the cab with the press of a button, whenever you
want.

The only place you can buy this cutout is directly from McCord
manufacturing. The only way to get a price break on this product is to
participate in a group buy. All you need to do at this time is contact Keith
McCord and tell him you want to buy a MPP2 Power Plate as part of the
www.dakota-durango.com group buy. You do not have to give any credit card
numbers or payment information until the group buy is complete. On 12/1/02
the total # of orders dictates the final price of the group buy, and at that
point in time each person on the list must contact Keith McCord and make
individual payment arrangements. Each person orders the MPP2 from McCord,
you pay him directly, he ships it directly to you at time of payment. All I
did was arrange the group buy and spread the word, everything else is done
directly through McCord.

For those who have had experience with the MPP1 that had leaking issues, the
MPP2 has thicker plates and a revised design that Keith McCord says resolves
the problem... If your new MPP2 does leak or has any problems, there is a
1-year warranty on the motor/gearbox and a 3-year warranty on the rest of
the parts.
