Oh, no, no,no..
I made the same mistake with the replacement stuff (the kind you can buy at
the auto stores). It is way too thin, and does not stretch out. If you go
to a Home Depot and look at their good indoor outdoor, it is almost
identical to the factory carpet except there is no padding glued to it.
When you install it, at first it will look a little ghetto. But after a
good week or two, it will stretch out, lay down right, and look like brand
new OE molded carpet. I swear by this.
Its just like getting new carpet in your house, at first it looks awkward,
but after a week of walking on it, it looks good. Just no muddy shoes,
please :)
