Another Car & Driver Issue - False Claims by GMC

I wrote to GMC, DaimlerChrysler, and Car & Driver, about the following:

I am surprised that DaimlerChrysler has not dragged GMC lawyers into court
on basis of 'FALSE ADVERTISEMENT' with the notation of GMC Sierra's claim
"...most powerful pickup." Looking in the Car & Driver December 2002 issue
back cover GMC advertisement, GMC remarked, "...most powerful line of
pickups, with a wildcard asterisk mark at the bottom of the page - 'Based on
horsepower'. This is claim is false.

>From the GMC website, the Sierra HD 6.1 ltr engine is only rated at 305HP
versus the Ram 2500 HD 5.7 ltr engine is rated at 345 HP.

I do find this an insult with my purchase of a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 HD Hemi
truck and will ask DaimlerChrysler to look into these claims.

You need to either retract this advertisement or reap the repercussion that
will follow
