You can find the SnapOn MT2500 for anywhere in between $900-$1300 used
on eBay (brand new, they're about $2000). It will read everything you
want. AutoXray, Actron, and a few other hand-held (and PDA) scanner
software packages also will do close to the same.

Subject: DML: scan tool question

For those who may know, If I wanted to buy a diagnostic tool to read
the obd system trouble codes as well as being able to detect things like
bad plugs, wires, etc, weak compression bad camshaft misfires, etc. I am
told there are units that can do all these things. I dont mind spending
as much as maybr 2k but no more on a unit. Any info appreciated.
