No, you only increase from just under 6 amps to just over 8 on hi-beam with the 80/100...

OK, I don't feel as bad now...With the higher wattage, is the alternator the
only thing affected, or are the wires being stressed?

Subject: Re: DML: Xenon headlight bulbs
I have been through 4 sets of bulbs of varying type (maxxis, cool blue,
etc.) and of all the options, I am currently running the stock lights (aimed
a bit high) and think these are the most durable. I don't see any better
with the blue than with the regulars. I may try some of the 80/100's next
time...

Hi all,
Last night driving home, my Heliolite Xenon headlight bulb from Lumiko USA
blew the low beam filament. I got these as a Christmas present last
year--$40 headlight bulbs that didn't even last a year! I was running type
9004, 12v, 65/45w. I'm wondering what other HID white bulbs you guys are
running with out there? What's the highest wattage for high/low beams that
a stock set up can run? Any advice on GOOD headlight bulbs is greatly
appreciated.
