I have heard good things about Falken from the muscle car crowd but
never tried them myself. Realize one thing. The tread wear is based on a
comparison against another tire the they make not other tires in the
market. You should be fine but I have seen a couple of times 380 or
better tread wear wearing faster than a competitors 280 tread wear tire.
This was based on similar driving conditions and style not one person
hot rodding the car and the other driving like a granny.

Subject: DML: New Tire Time

I'm going to be needing some tires soon. I currently have Nitto
P275/50R17's and I don't like them because of the soft tread (Didn't
last very long)

I know Falken makes a tire the same size.

Does anyone have any experience with this Falken tire? The tread rating
is 420 vs. the Nitto's 300. I'm hoping that'll make it last longer. How
about traction on the Falken?

Also, what about siping? Should I get these tires siped?

Thanks
william
