What you're experiencing is spring settling. Shocks alone will not help
that. You will need additional springs, as you've used in the past, or air
bags to help support the load of the trailer.

Have a 1998 Extended Cab - 318 V-8 - 4WD - Looking to put new shocks on it.
Looking for something to help level the truck when my 26 foot travel trailer
(newer model) is attached. When first hooked up, everything is level - after
a couple miles the back of the truck sags a bit - Does not have the factory
towing package - though it does have the extra transmission cooler, etc.
Though about some Rancho shocks - Never used them - in the past always used
Monroe with the additional spring attached - thoughts - suggestions
