Yep, that's just about at the minimum price that BFG allows "authorized"
resellers to sell that tire for. You can sometimes find fly-by-night
places that will sell the tires to you for below the minimum price, but if
that happens, they carry absolutely no warranty of any kind from BFG. A
few tire places I've talked to refuse to carry BFG because of their pricing
policies.

At least, that's the way it was about 2 years ago. Don't know if BFG has
since had a change of heart, but I doubt it.
