Why don't get the Hemi 1500 R/C model (short bed)? It is only few inches
longer than a standard extended cab Dakota?

Yep, can't say that I'm surprised. Daks do a lot of things well,
but they have their limits. As far as the fuel economy goes, get
yerself a Cummins in that 2500; probably will get better mileage
than the econobox. :-)
Oh, and if you need a place to store that 2500, just drop the keys
off here at "DML HQ". I'll make sure to feed and excersize it
regularly. ;-)
