I looked at the RC 2wd for the '03 Dak and Ram 1500, and here are the
specs...

Length: Ram = 207.7 Dak = 196 Diff = 11.7"
WheelBase: Ram = 120.5 Dak = 112 Diff = 8.5"

That's still a pretty significant difference either way.

Ask Buzz since he was the one that announced it.

The length of the vehicle has nothing to do with the chassis. It is the
length of the wheelbase that counts.

If you compared the new Ram and 03 Dakota, tell me the difference in the
wheelbase?

Not according to the people at the Durango factory in Newark, DE. It's
10" longer than the current Durango but the same length overall. As of
October they'd built 160 prototypes in that factory and according to my
father based on his tour of the plant, they probably wouldn't have space
to push a Ram chassis through.
