When I pulled up to a Quad Dakota with my Ram Quad, I could not believe how
close it was in size (Dakota 4x4).

All comes down to whom you believe. A website with anonymous "insider
sources" vs. Dodge reps at the factory. Your pick.

If Dodge puts that part of their website back online, sure (the catalog
the dealer gave me doesn't have dimensions). The current Durango and RC
Dak ride on a 115" wheelbase, the QC and CC Daks are on a 131" WB.
Translate that to the new Durango (stretching the RC and CC to match the
longer RC), and yes a Dakota is in the neighborhood of the Ram. As I
recall, the information about a Dak built on the new Durango platform
being too close to a Ram's size was also posted to the Buzz a year or so
ago.
