By any chance did you have the battery disconnected recently?
My battery on my 99 R/T went out suddenly (for the 3rd time in 4 years) and
when I jumped ther truck off it would not idle and after replacing the
battery it still would not idle or start unless you put your foot on the
gas. After about 15 or more starts it settled down.
