It's just a sensor going bad. Reminds me of my
camshaft position sensor. Only about a $40 part. I
would do the work myself if you have an FSM and a
scanner. I'd get it fixed before it leaves you
stranded somewhere, it's only a matter of time. My
camshaft sensor left me broke down after about 8 days
after the initial warning light.
