It is the height of the tire. A 235/75 tire is taller than a 205/75 tire.
You have to figure in the aspect ratio. A 265/75 is TALLER than a 265/65.
Why? The sidewall is shorter on the 265/65. It's sidewall is 65% of the
height of the tire. The 265/75 sidewall is 75%. If you go up in aspect ratio
the tire will get taller. To remain the same diameter, you must go down in
height, hence the drop from 265 to 245.

There is an old rule of thumb in tires. If you go up in diameter one size,
ie 235 to 245, to keep the same diameter, go down one size in aspect ratio,
ie 70 to 60. Same with wheel diameter. Go up one size in wheel diameter, go
down one tire size, ie 235 to 225 to retain the same ride height.
