but when it all comes down to it, i think what i'm going to be building up
is a really high-powered V6. however, we all know the serious LACK of
performance parts out there. so i have to squeeze whatever i can out of the
ol' factory stuff, and add some other premium bolt-ons.

i will be stroking the engine (i know, probably cheaper to go V8), but
there's something appealing about a unique stroker V6, that can probably
roast a couple of unsuspecting V8's, as well as hand it to any ricer that
comes along my path.

that, and i plan on keeping the truck as original-looking as possible, so i
would like to keep things as close to factory (and matching #'s) as
possible.

i'm not to worried about having the numbers match on the rear-end, because
i'll have to change the gears from the stock 3.21's, to 3.92's or 4.10's,
and add some form of posi in the back. but if i go TOO high, i'll have to
start looking into a new tranny, and i don't want to have to change that
out.

thanks for the advice y'all...

Steve - Do you mean DANA 60? The DANA 60 started life in HEMI 4-speed B-bodys in the 60s and are one of the most expensive factory rear ends to purchase if you can find one. DW
