Hey, Warren,

<snip>My 94 Dakota 4x4 has developed a shifting problem<snip>

Not sure, but it sounds like a malfunctioning Throttle Positioning Sensor
(TPS). Susan's 96 Blazer (GHAK!) was doing the same thing, so I dropped the
tranny pan & drained & changed the fluid & filter & cleaned the magnet. But
it still exhibited the same symptoms, tho not as often (at first). Within a
week's time it was doing it all the time, so she took it into Mr. Badwrench.
Told her the TPS was bad & replaced it. Never had a problem since.
